Picturesque stone and clapboard Dutch Colonial mansion c. 1906-1912, 7800+sq ft with 5 fireplaces and fish scale roof shingles. The property was originally erected on 90 acres of land with an outbuilding group consisting of a guesthouse, garage/carriage house, and an S. Jacobs & Sons greenhouse.

The estate once included surrounding lands, and the garage quarters/carriage house, and the guest house, are now both private homes on Plandome Road. The estate was sold in 1920 to Harry B. James who was president of the Interstate Lighterage & Transportation Co. It was later bought in 1926 by Dr. Charles Jacob Pflug, a surgeon at Wyckoff Heights Hospital in Brooklyn.
