The monastery of nuns was founded in 2006 and was consecrated on April 22, 2007, by His Grace Ambrose, Bishop of Giurgiu, together with Reverend Father Theodosius, His Eminences Archbishop of Tomis and Niphon, Archbishop of Targoviste.
The services are held in a wooden church built with great craftsmanship by artisans from Barsana, Maramures Country.
The interior painting is done in neo-Byzantine style. 200 years old icons, depicting biblical scenes that took place 2,000 years ago, form the the veil that separates the altar from the nave.
