Designed by the famed architectural firm of Peabody & Stearns, these two shingle-style cottages - connected by a large wooden archway - were completed in 1885. Stonor Hall and Drexel Hall are the former hennery and hen keeper's cottage for Catherine Lorillard Wolfe's sprawling Vinland estate. Salve Regina acquired the buildings in 1962 and received a historic preservation award from the Newport Historical Society in 2003 for their exterior restoration.

Shingle or Queen Anne style; long, low structure of one-and-one-half stories with shingle wall cover and cross-gabled, gambrel and hipped roofs; arched portal running through building at center;- varied window treatment; intentionally picturesque composition.
