Part of the water supply for NY City. Cannonsville Reservoir is named for the village of Cannonsville, which was flooded as the reservoir filled. This reservoir is the farthest in the system from New York City. It was completed in the 1950s. Water flows through the 90-mile long Delaware Aqueduct from here to the city.
