One of the eight Red Road flats. It is a 31-storey block, with 30 habitable floors and a drying area on the 31st (roof) level. Together with the remaning five "point" blocks of the Red Road estate, this building is the highest occupiable point within Glasgow.
In 1977 a devastating fire started as a prank on the 23rd Floor led to the death of an 11 year old boy, and scores of tenants were decanted - never to return. It is this event which is widely regarded as the trigger for the decline of the estate.
