Former Boston Society of Natural History museum building designed c. 1864 by William G. Preston. It served as a location of the Bonwit Teller & Co. Department Store from 1947 to 1989 and later Louis of Boston from 1990 to 2000. Restoration Hardware, a California chain that sells luxury furniture and home decor, said it has signed a lease for the historic building at 234 Berkeley St. in 2013.
