Furkhanda-Khal(G.S.Negi)

THis place is on a saddle -Khal, the new motor road from Khirsu crosses over the ridge to Pithundi and beyond. Earlier the mule track got bifurcated here one to Pithundi and other to Pokhari and Chhantikhal. The place is better known as FURKANDA KHAL.In good old days Ramleela used to be staged here being attended by the residents of nearby villages.I had gone there once to see Rmleela while a resident student of Middle School Khirsu somewhere during 1952-53.It used to be fairly cold during the month of Oct-Nov.the Ramleela period.( B.S.
