Pauri town is situated at an elevation of 1814 m above sea-level on the northern slopes of Kandoliya hills, Pauri is the headquarter of the district Pauri Garhwal and the Garhwal Division. Pauri provides a panoramic view of the snow clad Himalayan peaks of Bander Punchh, Swarga-Rohini, Jonli, Gangotri Group, Jogin Group, Thalaiya-Sagar, Kedarnath, Kharcha Kund, Sumeru, Satopanth, Chaukhamba, Neelkanth, Ghoriparvat, Hathiparvat, Nandadevi.Trisul and uregi ( a very big village pauri garhwal)THIS is the hill station found by the British pauri was the headquarter of garhwal distt.

  • pauri is a nice looking town. That kind of town I naver seen before in my life.I want to say that it is very neet and cleen town there are is ban for using plastic bag.If poolice men saw you with plastic bag you will be underarrested at that time.

  • Greetings from New Zealand. I lived in Pauri during 1975 and 1976. I attended DAV Inter College (class 7 and 8). I still remember many of my friends and teachers from that time. Does anybody remember Boda ji from DAV? I would like to find out where are my friends from DAV, especially Ashish Rawat, Mahendra Rawat and Dinesh Bisht! Ashish's father was Vigyan Pragati Adhikari at Pauri. My father was posted as Chief Judicial Magistraw (CJM) at Pauri. Mahendra and Dinesh lived not too far away from DAV- it was just down the slope from the main market- I think there was a shoe shop nearby (probably Taneja shoe house or something like that). We lived in Pine Villa (behine Woolen store or the woolen knitting factory). I would love to be in touch with people from Pauri, even better if you went to DAV during 1975-76.   • Namaste to all of you who lived in pauri & who visit to Pauri, Pauri is a beautyfull City and a nice place to visit. Kinkleshwar Mahadev Temple, Kandolia Devta Temple, Nag Devta Temple, Laxmi Narayan Temple is main temple in Pauri City, but More beautyfull road in Pauri i.e. Kandolia to Circuit House. from Kandolia to see Himalayas.
