I am living in Anand. Anand is the best place to live. Anand is also known for a IRMA(Institute of Rural Managment and Administration). It is a world class rural managment Institute.

I'am a civil engineer...Since Last 3-years I'm in Canada...Still I didn't forget those days spent in Anand...It's wonderful to live in a peaceful city...

Yes The city Anand is surely the best place to live in comparison to all other cities in gujarat...It is also called the garden city of gujarat...

hey does anybody know Boria...i knw its a small place but its my village nd cant seem to find it...and also one of the hostels in Vidhyanagar.

Anand is the town where Asia's largest Dairy products manufacturing co-operative society known as "AMUL" is located it produced different types of Baby Milk powders, to Cheese Butters and Milk and related products including Chocolates & Ice Creams. Which is most popular through out Asia. This is supported by surrounding villages of Ever Green Land Area called as “ Charotar” in State of Gujarat in India. This town is fully connected from Ahmedvad to Mumbai via Vadodra & Surat with Western Railway and lots of High Speed Express High Way and National High Way including surrounding Small Circular Roads connecting all major villages and town in Gujarat. In the development of this small city to its current height one should not forget the major contributors like Dr Kurian (NDDB), Tribuvan Kaka (Amul Dairy), ChimanRaja (Anand Muncipality), Vithalbhai Patel (D N High School), Gordhan Kaka (Ram Krishna Seva Mandal) and Sardar Ganj Vepari Mandal with one of the Honest, Dedicated and Visionary Town Planning Officer who has specially prepared and introduced Anand Town Planning Scheme during 1970to75. This has and will absorb future growth of the town with flow of Hugh traffic. In comparison with other big city /towns Ahmedvad or Nadiad. This is the reason this town is now become District of Whole Area. Also it is a centre of great Educational Institutes, Whole Sales and Retails Grains Markets Green Vegetables & Fruit Markets with quality food manufacturers and bakeries. One day this town have Geographical Potential to develop more then Mumbai City.

Town have all amenities apart from very poor qualities of Inner city Roads, and very verse and poor thinking to Drainage and water Systems including poor planning for specially there is No Larger Drainages Systems for Heavy Rain access Water Removal. Since they have removed older type of channel and allowed people to build! Inefficient and poor Local City Bus and Sates operated Bus Services to caters the services to growing town centers and its Residences and working class peoples and visitors to the town.
God Bless the selfish Politian, who can at least now think for public welfare and development of poor town !

How can I forget all the movie theatres, samosa, puff, krishna burgers???

Oh I dont have enough words to say how much I love Anand. I have spent the most beautiful and unforgettable 20 years of my life there and I have to say that it has shaped me up perfactly to be a nice and successful person.
All the school days at DN High School and then University days in VV Nagar. It was wonderful. The memories of those days is still very fresh in my mind. I just have to go back and visit my hometown at least once a year or every two years. Oh I miss the Panipuri, Vadapau, Bhajipau, Rajadhiraj Samosas, and ofcourse Sahyog meals....hmmm amazingly tasteful.
I have to say that I found love in Anand but it did not succeed, anyhow I am happy in my life still looking for that Miss right! :)
