The single mountain Aush or Aushtash is in the Uchalinsky region of Bashkiria, near the lake Aushkul and ridges Alaby and Nurali. It isn't part of any ridge, and costs separately. From that Aush it is visible from it is far and it is easy to distinguish in a panorama of low trans-Ural ridges. Absolute height of the mountain is 643,7 m.
Mountain Aush (Aushtash) it is known for the dendritic jasper of pale-yellow and sand shades, with black hyphens of the dendrites, reminding branches of trees. The withdrawal pains of an aushkul's jasper began in the 17th century.
Mountain Aush - a holy site.
For a long time the mountain Aush - Aushtash is also a holy site for Muslims. At top of the mountain there is a small stone barrow and a stone plate on which by the Arab ligature it is written about the unusual person, the preacher to true belief. According to the legend at top of the mountain the sacred imam – Ramazan Auly, the preacher of Islam among the Bashkiria's people is buried. On a legend he was killed at Aush's bottom and buried by locals at its top. There was it in the Middle Ages when Islam in South Ural only arose.
Every year, on May 15 to the pilgrims gathering here from far places, the miracle is – starts beating sacred spring 'Auliya'. Water follows from it exactly a month for which pilgrims hurry to gather waters from a key. On force and fertile action it is considered same, as well as water from Mecca.
