Historic Brick Paved Street (Edwards Blvd.) (Long Beach, NY)

Historic street (Edwards Blvd. between boardwalk and Broadway) with exposed red brick pavers. Many streets in Long Beach looked like this during the early part of the 20th century. The city government has removed the bricks for nearly all of its other streets or has covered the bricks with concrete, asphalt or other paving materials.
