Shipdham Flying Club is a group of flyers and friends who operate Shipdham Airfield for the benefit of the General Aviation community. The club was formed in early 2000 to re-open Shipdham airfield. After a slow start, the club is thriving. The hangar is full of aircraft, the runway is clean and the clubhouse has been redecorated.

The airfield was the wartime base of the Flying Eightballs and the clubhouse is home to their museum. The airfield and museum receive regular visits form wartime veterans and their families, and the club hosts two organised visits from the USA each year.

The Airfield is staffed at the weekends by club members who provide a Ground/Air radio service and dispense reasonably priced fuel to visitors.
