  • This village is in the Aleppo Province of Syria, not the Kilis Province of Turkey and, as a newbie, I cant figure out how to get Wikimapia to stop identifying it as being in Turkey. This is a problem with many towns in Northern Syria.
  • The village is in Syria but it is primarily inhabited by Turkmen (not Turks) a close relative of the Turks. I'm assuming that is why it is listed as a Turkmen village or town. al-Ra'i also serves as the center of the al-Ra'i district in Aleppo Province.
