The Hub is the area around the intersection of Princess St and Division St, headed east down Princess further downtown (about a block in that direction). Named for its central location, as well as the Kingston Hub Group which own and operate The Brass Pub (an affordable pub), The Grizzly Grill (upscale dining with cosy bar and plenty of pool tables), The Ale House (large stage area (club) in the back for concerts - famous bands play here a lot), The Ale House Canteen (pub attached to club), Stages (dance club). There is also the Elixir, a club on the west side of Division, and the Spot - a place for cheap drinks and a small dance floor.
During the school year the hub is a favourite spot for Queen's and SLC students, who often fill the sidewalks and streets. During the summer most of the business is tourists and cottage owners. Most of Kingston's restaurant business during the summer happens at the water front, its a shame many don't have or know about the chance to try a bite to eat at the Grizzly Grill!

  • "Upscale" in Kingston is the same as upscale anywhere in Canada. Kingston is an elegant historical city (the pearl of Ontario) with many fine establishments.
  • Yeah the author of this has some big problem it seems. Vomatorium? Making up words lol. Its actually owned by the Hub Group, which might have something to do with its name.
