National Institute of Science Education Research (NISER), being incubated by Institute of Physics. A Department of Atomic Energy institution announced (by the PM) to be at par with the IISERs in Pune, Kolkata, Mohali, Bhopal, and Trivendrum.

The construction of the campus has been handed over to L & T in July 2011 and they are expected to finish constructing the campus in 30 months.

  • Hi, This is true that the work has been started for this project. But i am not sure by what time this will be start functioning ? That is a million dollar question !!! Ranjan
  • With in 48 months from Aug 2007. So should be ready by Aug 2011 and should start performing cutting-edge science towards 2012. By the way who is leading this NISER now ?? Or still it is moving like head-less chicken !!!

  • In March, 2009 NISER Registrar joined and flashed his statement on NISER new campus and new campus will be ready within 4 years. Its always 4 years from tomorrow and tomorrow never comes !!!
