The Manor nestles at the south west foot of St Martha's Hill and is joined to St Martha's Hill and Church by a steep and ancient footpath.

Originally a monastery dating back to the 11th century, the Manor has an imposing stone façade and historic gardens which have occasionally been open to the public, courtesy of the late owner Lady Heald, under the auspices of the National Gardens Scheme.

It is now part of Best Western hotel chain.

  • Something is wrong here! This is not a Best Western Hotel.
  • If it isn't a Best Western Hotel, why is it listed on the Best Western Website?
  • Guess there can't be two places in the UK named the same thing?
