The first plant of Grendene was born in Farringdon, in Rio Grande do Sul, in 1971. What was a small factory of plastic packaging was gradually becoming the site of the largest shoe manufacturer in the country, thanks to the commitment and determination of its founders, Alexandre and Pedro Grendene Bartelle.
