In 2000, the LDS Church purchased this section of Main Street to connect two blocks with a plaza called the Main Street Plaza. A great deal of controversy surround the purchase of Main Street, making once public property private.

  • I especially like sitting at the reflecting pool. They also have some nice places you can take pictures while you're visiting. It's a very peacefull place.
  • Family members and I visited the Main Street Plaza and grounds of the LDS Church offices recently. This entire area is so beautifully kept up, clean, quiet, and family friendly it was like stepping out of the everyday world into an oasis of peace and calm. It's definitely a huge asset to the community.
  • During the Christmas season, the trees are lit up with thousands of lights. they also float lights in the reflecting pool and have large nativity scenes in the green areas around the reflecting pool.
