Sri Subrahmania Temple, Kochambalam, Nayarambalam. Main festival is on Thaippooyam (Generally in January-February). At least 7 caparisoned elephants are there in Pakalppooram. Kavady procession is an attractive ritual in the festival.
The temple was consecrated by Brahma Shri. Yogananda Paramahamsar alias Shri Kanchavu Swamikal. Contemporary of Shri Narayana Guru, he was a legend of Nayarambalam. Kanjaavu Swamikal was a great Siva yogi a divine healer. He passed away on 8th January, 1955 (KE: 24th Dhanu, 1130).
