Second World War 1939-1945, place with historical importance, water tower

"Stalag 358" (Stalag 358 Schitomir) is a concentration camp of the German Wehrmacht for prisoners of war during the Second World War on the outskirts of Zhytomyr.
The tower is all that was left of the camp, which lasted until October-November 1943, when the city of Zhytomyr was liberated from the German invaders. During this time more than 110 thousand people died from hunger, hard work and executions. The released prisoners were immediately sent to the front as "traitors" of the Motherland.
