This 156 acres of nature preserve in Dundee Township was given by Emily Schwietzer as a gift to Kane County in December 1989. It was her wish that the rolling kame and kettle country be preserved as passive open space. The property has oak forests, crop land, hay meadows and marshes. A beautiful Edwardian house and matching dog kennel are situated in the southeast corner of the property.
