Monument from 1912
The Broeker Auction has impressive mooring halls and a beautiful auction room dating from 1912. The state monument was built on more than 1900 wooden piles above water. There is a large map on view of the Realm of the Thousand Islands which shows
more than 15.000 islands! From this landscape the Broeker Auction has originated. The collection of wooden boats gives a good impression of the transport over water in centuries gone by. The guide will be happy to tell you all about it.
Take part in a real auction You yourself are the trader in this beautiful auction
hall from 1912. You feel the tension that is part of the auction! A unique experience in which liveliness and history go hand in hand.
Boat trip
The boat trip takes you to the special Realm of the Thousand Islands, the original market gardening district.
Dependent on the weather the boat can be open or closed. The whisper (electric) boat will also sail at regular times.
