It is more than just a large residential neighborhood in Segambut, 51200 Kuala Lumpur.

It has a large concentration of service shops in the shopping areas at the D phase area at Jalan 16/38D, Jalan 15/38D, Jalan 5/38D, Jalan 6/38D and Jalan 8/38D. Auto, motorcycle, bicycle repairs, spareparts, and carwash, barbers, unisex hair and beauty salons, bank, hardware, cobbler, keymakers, handphones, clocks, watches, computers sales and repairs, DVD and CD sales and rentals, electrical, furniture, stationary, Chinese books and comics loans, Chinese prayer supplies, cybercafes, cakeshops and bakeries, Chinese medical halls and groceries, tuition and learning centres, kindergartens, doctors, dentists, pharmacies, gambling outlets, laundries, petshop, convenience shops and a large variety of Chinese, Indian, Mamak, Malay foodstalls, coffeeshops and restaurants. Postbox and recycling box near the police station in Jalan 8/38A. KFC and Monday night market in A phase area across the road. There is also a foodcourt at Jalan 14/38A.

Can be considered as a sort of town centre for Segambut villages and housing estates around, SPPK, Mandy Villa, Dutamas, Hartamas, Sri Bintang, Kepong Baru Tambahan areas and areas beyond where there are not so many services in the same place or are far more expensive.

Lacking:-
Cineplex, hypermarket and On-line Post office for road tax renewals and place for selling stamps. Parcels collection is at Sentul Post Office.
Most bills can now be conveniently paid at the BSN agent at V-Comm Telephone Centre 31 Jalan 15/38D. The nearest BSN office is at Block D, M-Avenue, a short distance away east on the way to Jalan Segambut. The nearest Post Office, cineplex and hypermarket is at Tesco Kepong Village Mall.a short drive west along Jalan Lang Emas For those using RapidKL bus U11, the convenient Post Office, cineplex and supermarket shopping complex is at Aeon Metro Prima (ex Jusco). A short ride farther is Aeon Big Kepong (ex Carrefour) and much farther on at Jalan Ipoh is Plaza Sungai Mas. The same bus can be used to get off on Jalan Ipoh near the Sentul Police Station for a short walk to the Sentul Post Office.

Transport for commuters:-
RapidKL bus U11 goes from its terminus opposite M-Avenue through Jalan Lang Emas, Jalan 30/38A and Jalan 34/38A in Taman Sri Sinar towards Taman Sri Bintang, Kepong Baru market, Jesus Caritas Church, Metro Prima, Jalan Kepong, Jalan Ipoh, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Jalan Raja (Merdeka Square), Jalan Leboh Pasar Besar to stop briefly at its terminus at Leboh Ampang outside Bangunan HSBC, before going back through Jalan Ampang, Jalan Munshi Abdullah, Jalan Dang Wangi, Jalan Raja Laut to retrace back along Jalan Ipoh.

Quite a number of commuters prefer to take a short walk to and from Mandy Villa to use the RapidKL bus U7 which is much more frequent than the U11 bus. They may be heading to Jalan Segambut, Jalan Ipoh, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman to the Kuala Lumpur stop at Jalan Yap Ah Loy or the other way to Segambut Dalam, Kiara condos to Desa Sri Hartamas.

There are taxi stops at Jalan 6/38A (south of Pangsapuri Angsa), along Jalan Lang Emas (north of Plaza Sri Sinar), Jalan 8/38A (near KFC and police station). Usually there are some taxis parked at Jalan 30/38A behind the chicken rice stall (open from 5 pm) and next to the bus stop but their drivers may be away at the 2 nearby restaurants and mamak stall. Some taxi drivers stay in the area.

Nearest KTM Komuter is Segambut Station. Either get driven there, walk (may be the only logical choice in case of traffic jam) or take a short ride on RapidKL bus U7 from Mandy Villa if heading for destinations like Klang, Seremban, Kajang, Rawang or destinations where the komuter train is more convenient. Alternative is Kepong Station. Suggest be driven there especially if there is a traffic jam on Jalan Lang Emas and Jalan Segambut.
