This place mainly consists of Chemical , Petrochemical and Fertiliser factories . Most of people people staying around Manali work in these factories . Major companies located here are CPCL, MFL, Baulmer Laurie, SRF, CETEX and more group of Companies of SPIC Group and they are MPL , SPC , TPL, HCD etc ... Nearly all factories run 24hrs round the clock and enployees work in shifts duties to enable continous supervision of the plants . Toxic Gases being handles by all the factories but being handled safely . Details given by a nice person who works for MPL and he is happy to share his presence in this area while work and he is K.Natraj of Mpl .

    The place has a CO2 factory M/s jagadamba Carbon-di-oxide (P) Ltd., next to the MFL which converts the raw Co2 gas from MFL ( otherwise thrown out into the atmosphere) into liquid CO2 and also DRY-ICE therby reducing the pollution and contributing for reduction in the greenhouse gases. The product so liquified finds use in various industries like beverages, welding applications, casting, medical application and many many more.
