  • @FélimMcMahon You should look at the satellite images of that "tad to the north" base. It clearly is surrounded by facilities for infantry & armoured brigades. Judged by the various watertowers and building styles, the facilities in the center appear to be largely for personel. Wikimapia has this place tagged as "special forces training base", and that's likely correct. Compare that to this "military research facility". This place has various industrial-style buildings, bunkers and hardened facilities. Also it appears that the vegetation was used to obscure the view of some facilities on the Western edge of it. There also appears to be an entrance to an underground bunker in the hill in the center of this base.
