The goons manning the Kharkar Ali area are : Amit Pradhan [Building contractor], Rajeev Deorukhkar [employee of Abyudaya COOP Bank], Sunil Kachare [Agent of Cable operator] and Darshan Kanade [nephew of Ex-President of Thane Congress].

The Thane Municipal Corporation refuses to take any action against the illegal encroached constructions in the area despite several complaints made by the locals.

There are atleast 3~4 buildings constructed illegally and encroached by the above team.
