Notes: This ranch complex is the core of what was once a 100,000-acre cattle ranch. It is perhaps best known for its period of ownership by John Horton Slaughter. The property was also the site of Disney's TV miniseries "Texas John Slaughter", based on Slaughter's life, that ran from 1958 to 1961. Today, the property is run as a history museum.
