The "Band of Holes" consists of approximately 6,900 holes carved into the barren rock near Pisco Valley, Peru on a plain Cajamarquilla.

Holes vary between 6-7 feet deep, though some are merely shallow indents as if not completed.

  • With this limited information of a site that has been known of since before the National Geographic article of 1933, no one yet has hazard a guess as to when these holes were dug. Interestingly are there proximity to the Nazca Plain.
