Former site of the Montreal Locomotive Works, Canadian subsidiary of the American Locomotive Corporation (ALCO). Survived the demise of its parent in 1969 and continued making Alco designs until the 1980's. Facility was closed and split with part being purchased by GE for locomotive rebuilding until 1993. The GE half burned down and the rest was demolished in 2004.
