Site of Paeonian Springs Station

Site of demolished Paeonian Springs station of the Washington and Old Dominion (W&OD) Railroad. The station closed in 1968. The site is now on south side of the W&OD Trail and on the west side of Simpson Circle. The Northern Virginia Regional Parks Authority has relocated to this site the W&OD Railroad's second Clarkes Gap Station. The Clarkes Gap station (a passenger shelter) was originally located on the north side of the W&OD Railroad's tracks, on the west side of Dry Mill Road.
