Vijaynagara the empire of victory was the greatest hindu empires of india.vijaynagara was ruled by many dynasties. but the most famous was the tuluva dynasty named so because the emperors of thiss dynasty came from tulu nadu in southwestern karnataka.
Their mothers tongue was tulu an ancient dravidian landuage still spoken in udupi soth canara district in karantaka and in the northern parts of kasargod district in kerala.Tuluvas means Tulu speakers.
