In 1987, the Crown Commissioners tendered for new villas to be built to enhance Regent's Park's setting. English architect Quinlan Terry designed this villa, one of eight, with their design being influenced by Palladio, John Nash, Sir John Soane, and Horace Walpole's Strawberry Hill House.
