A boy of tender age had vehement desire to see Shivaji Maharaj. He came from Tikampur, in UP, I think near Kanpur. His name was Bhushan. But meeting maharaj was not easy. He was advised to wait for maharaj in this temple as maharaj used to come here for Shiv Darshan. When maharaj completed his darshan, on his way back he saw a strange person, in diferent dress - this Bhushan. Maharaj called him and asked, you seem to be a new comer.He told the story of his journey He also briefed maharaj about his poetry. He was well come by maharaj and Bushan stayed for several years on Raigad. He composed famous SHIVABAVANI AND SHIVRAJ BHUSHAN, two fantastic Kavya on maharaj. These compositions are real wealth of Hindi literature. He was present during Rajyabhishek- coronation ceremony of Maharaj,June 1674 |
