The Nile of Goa starting in the Western Ghats is approximately 80kms long. Flowing through the district of Satari it passes by the beautiful islands of Cumarjua, Divar, Vanxim and Charao. Finally meeting its other counterpart the river Zuari around MiraMar and Dona Paula. The heavily silted river us unusable in the Monsoons as it forms a sand bar at the mouth of the river streching from Campal to Fort Aguada. (Orlando deMelo)
