Royal Country Insane Asylum was founded in 1909 and was built between 1912-14 in Prague as a completely new and modern facility. Establishment of the Institute is closely linked to the personality of its first director, most famous and great Czech psychiatrist, Professor Dr Heveroch, which has the greatest accomplishments in this matter. Campus area has 64 hectares, 31 bed medical department, the capacity of over 1,300 patients and care is provided with more than a thousand employees. Hospital church is one of the most beautiful Art Nouveau buildings in Prague. Institute has its own theater, library, workshops and many other auxiliary equipments.
