The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Bridge spans the St. Marys River, carrying southbound U.S. 27 traffic (locally known as Clinton Street) into downtown Fort Wayne.

The bridge was officially reopened June 4, 2012, after an $8.8 million rebuild, featuring landmark trusses, 704 light fixtures, widened sidewalks, benches, and a memorial to civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. The bridge has quickly become a symbol of downtown rejuvenation and a popular photo-op due to the bridge's decorative LED lights which alternate to signify special events (e.g. red, white, and blue for U.S. Independence Day, red and green in support of the TinCaps, rainbow during Fort Wayne Pride, etc.)
