Located at 2730 Central Avenue NE in Minneapolis, St. Anthony's Cemetery began in 1857 by St. Anthony's Parish, later controlled by the Diocese in 1880. The area contains about 13 developed acres in Northeast Minneapolis. St. Anthony's has buried nearly 13,500 persons since inception, with an annual burial rate of 30 persons. The cemetery was developed a single depth lawn crypt section in 1996, though remaining grave space in the cemetery is limited. It is managed and maintained by Gethsemane Cemetery.
