Many stories are heard from older section of people regarding ACTC which instills a sense of proudness . This institute is commonly referred by the local people simply as 'INDUSTRY' for once it produced many goods and products. This institute as can be derived at from its name itself is meant to impart training on Arts and Crafts. The finished products are sold in the market to earn a good return. This very effectively served two purposes very well. Imparting training on Arts and Crafts to its trainees as well as earning more than it incurred. Self sustaining and even making a good profit out of its finished products.
Now the scenario has changed drastically for the worst due to miss management and bad governance of the institute. For an example of mis-management, funds for purchasing raw material are not at all utilised for the pupose they were meant. No raw material implies no hands on practice and no finished products either. Defeating the whole purpose of the institute. Pointing a finger to particular man would be meaningless in this regard. The whole system needs to be investigated and renovated wherever required.
An institute once famous for its products and quality of training has now been reduced to a mere showpiece of a instituted once lived. Views on this regard are highly welcomed.
