Late Adhar Chandra Chattopadhyay son of Late Ishwar Chandra Chattopadhyay built this house replacing his small ancestral home. His successors Live in Bagbazar, Kolkata in another house built by him. He was the sole selling agent of ceiling tiles from Martin Burn Company. His great grand father was Becharam Chattopadhyay and grand father was Ram Prasad Chattopadhyay. He had 4 sons: Narayan Chandra, Kunja Bihari, Binoy Krishna and Hrishikesh. He had 3 daughters.
