CKGB radio put me up there until I could find a place to live - (see 107b Algonquin Blvd W) to the left.
The room number was 264 and unfortunately most phone numbers in Timmins started with "264" and so every drunk in that flea-bitten flop-house would call my room at 3am instead of dialling "9" to get out of the building. That and the bar was two stories below me and only show-cased the talents of every AC-DC cover band on the planet.
I miss those days.

My band played here in around 1981. One day I was exploring the hotel and found my way onto the roof. Here I was amazed to find that the hotel was built around a house! And, there was no visible way to access the house from this inner courtyard. Can anyone else shed some light on this?
