Bronxwood is a sub-neighborhood in the southern part of the greater Allerton neighborhood, itself located in the north-eastern part of New York City's Borough of The Bronx. It comprises the area surrounding the southernmost end of Bronxwood Avenue, which begins at the Pelham Parkway at its southern end and runs in a generally northerly direction as far as East 233rd street. It has a population over 20,000.

Its approximate boundaries, starting from the north and moving clockwise are: Allerton Avenue to the north, Williamsbridge Road to the east, Pelham Parkway to the south, and the Bronx River Parkway to the west. Bronxwood includes the Pelham Parkway Houses and Boston Road Plaza.

Certain sources (see 'bronxmall' link below) regard Bronxwood as comprising only in 'the northern part' of the Bronxdale neighborhood instead, which is based around Bronxdale Avenue and located a little way to the south of the Pelham Parkway. In this respect please also note that the wikipedia article (link below)erroneously describes the area around Bronxwood Avenue alone (north of the Parkway) under the title 'Bronxdale' instead.
