This pier was once known as Fun Pier (1957-1984) and hosted numerous rides such as spook houses, fun house, carousel, sky tower, and more. www.funchase.com and www.mrboardwalk.net have more info. The pier still has a scary ride, scary walk-through, and fun house/maze. The sky tower is still there but is no longer used as a ride. It was last used in 1984 I believe. You would ride up in a circular cabin and rotate while enjoying the views of the beach, ocean, boardwalk, piers, and town.
