Historic hotel built in 1925. Guests have included Winston Churchill and Queen Elizabeth II. President Harry S Truman resided here during his first administration and Franklin D. Roosevelt wrote his "nothing to fear but fear itself" speech while staying here. The hotel's dining room was where J. Edgar Hoover and his main squeeze, Clyde Tolson, did lunch on a daily basis for many years. This is where Judith Campbell used to stay when she came to meet with President John F. Kennedy while Jackie was out of town.
