ruins, bridge, historical layer / disappeared object
The ruins of the old trolley line that crossed Farrington Lake from East Brunswick to North Brunswick, running on toward New Brunswick. When the water level is low in the summer months, the remaning supports from the old bridge can be seen. Walking along the dirt peninsula, signs of the old tracks can be seen. Parts of the metal rails still in position are periodically covered and uncovered along the small strip of land extending out into the lake. The path the trolley once followed can still be seen for miles in either direction as a trail cut in the surrounding wilderness.
