Chicago area railroad landmark where the parallel Pennsylvania and New York Central 4-track main lines crossed the Chicago Ship Canal on 4 identical 2-track vertical lift drawbridges. After the Conrail merger traffic was shifted onto the former PRR alignment, which was also reduced to 2 tracks. The second PRR lift bridge was removed and the two NYC bridges were left in the raised position.
