The Monastery of St. Olga (Olginsky monastery), is a female monastery.
The monastery was named after the wife of an engineer Gornich who built the railway from Tbilisi to the Black Sea. Engineer Gornich got a piece of land above Mtskheta, in the development of which the workmen found a Cross (according to some data the Cross found Olga Gornich herself). The Cross was cleared and repaired, beneath it was found the ancient little church buried under the scree. After the tragic death of her husband (suicide due to alleged errors in the construction of a railway tunnel), Olga Gornich founded on this spot the female monastery (90th years of the 19th century).
