First Dakota National Bank is one of two banks located in Beresford, South Dakota. In 2024, it was moved to this building from its previous location on Third Street after the Beresford branch of the Wells Fargo Bank (which previously occupied the building) was closed in August of 2022.

Wells Fargo Bank was one of three banks in the city of Beresford, South Dakota. The bank was previously located on Third Street before being moved to the new building which was built to house the bank at this location on Cedar Street. The bank was originally known as Farmer's State Bank. That bank was purchased by Norwest Bank; and, Norwest Bank was later bought out by Wells Fargo Bank.
