  Please note that Jhantipahari is no more a village instead, it is a small town with a population around 25000. It is one of the 3 largest wholesale market in Bankura district. It is well connected to all major cities throughout India via both road & rail. It match every criteria to be a municipality but because of administration's negligence it is still in village level.
