The right-of-way through the Prado Basin originally belonged to the Riverside, Santa Ana & Los Angeles Railroad Company. AT&SF acquired the railroad in 1887. These concrete bridge supports are from a 1920s-era upgrade replacing the original wooden bridge built across the original route of the Santa Ana River in 1880s.
