Brandiz Hotel 122 East Hastings Street (Vancouver)


Built sometime before 1920, this hotel was opened as the Hotel Howard. In the 40's and 50's it was known as the Empire Hotel. Now known as the Brandiz Hotel, today it is a common Downtown East Side rooming house. On the ground floor it houses a bar similar to others on the block (bar currently closed) and a dirty pizza by the slice place.
